Description : A superb career opportunity for an experienced Software Engineer ( C++ / C# .NET )has been created at an exciting new microfluidic 'lab-on-chip' life science technology spinout set to revolutionise the life science, healthcare and biotech sectors based in Oxfordshire. The Software Engineer ( C++ / C# .NET ) will be a key member of the development team, responsible for the development of new features for the company's core software platform and applications based on this. You will be working within in an Agile development environment and will be involved in all aspects of the software development process - including requirements analysis, unit and integration testing, build management and deployment. This is the position for an ambitious Software Engineer looking to work in fast growing technology spinout offering exceptional career opportunities and of course an attractive financial package, including bonus and benefits is on offer.
To be considered for the role you need the following:
Essential:
  • Educated to degree level at a leading university in a computer science, engineering or mathematics
  • Masters or PhD degree in software related field or equivalent industrial experience
  • Experience in C++ and/or C# within .NET framework
  • Familiarity with commercial software development tools and methodologies (e.g. version control, agile development processes etc.)
  • Able to communicate clearly and concisely with other members of a multi-disciplinary team

Desirable:
  • Experience in any of the following:
  • Version control software (ideally subversion or git)
  • Agile software development methodologies
  • Test driven development methodologies
  • Software system testing, including automated tests
  • Hardware drivers and communication protocols (e.g. USB)
  • Experience in development of software products for scientific or medical instrumentation
