This highly innovative start-up is looking to take the world by storm with their game-changing high-tech data processing technology and are looking for a talented Business Development Manager to join their team. This is a new role; a strategic hire and key to the company's ongoing success. The Business Development Manager will be critical in helping take the product to market and driving the growth of the business. This is an exciting new role offering the chance to be on the forefront of a technology revolution.


This technology start-up's proprietary technology is based on the ground breaking R&D activities of its founding members and team of technical experts including Physicists, Electronics Engineers and Data Scientists. They are creating systems based on a novel optical processing technology that drastically improve processing rates of massive data sets at speeds far higher than current HPC's can operate -and at a far lower energy consumption. Simply put this technology has the capability to change any industry reliant on data processing at its core - it is ground breaking. The first target market will be bioinformatics but other applications are life sciences, aerodynamics, weather forecasting, financial forecasting and beyond.


This is the perfect role for a Business Development Manager who has experience of successfully working in a dynamic and fast paced start-up organisation. The role will be multifaceted and will grow as the company develops.


Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree ( BSc, BA, etc) or higher (MA, MSc, MBA or PhD)
  • Ability to identify and target business opportunities, market segments, customers and partners.
  • Proven track record in business development for a high technology company
  • Ideally experience working in a Start-Up / SME Environment
  • Ability to travel both within the UK and internationally (mainly Europe & USA)
