Description :

We are looking for a Product Development Manager with an industrial, engineering or possibly chemical process background to join a 'clean-tech' company with a revolutionary process of recycling biomass waste into energy and useful biochemicals.


  • Refinement of existing products (biofuels including biomass pellets, biomass briquettes) and expansion into new product areas such as biodiesel, bio-gas and bespoke bio-chemicals for horticultural and industrial use.
  • Provide product details to prospective customers, including MSDS sheets, product specification, and product certification.
  • Detailed input for development of future Intellectual Property (IP).
  • Prepare production and product development reports and papers.
  • Capture, log and analyse data for optimising processes and products, and refine process design.

  • Proven track record of developing new products in an industrial environment.
  • Ideally, experience working in biomass pellet, woodchip or biofuel briquette production.Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Strong systems, manufacturing process and best practices experience.
  • The ability to set and manage testing programs including laboratory testing, chemical analysis and presentation of results.
  • The ability to solve production quality problems.
  • Time and resource management
  • Technical / Scientific report writing.
  • Full and clean UK Driving License.
  • Strong IT skills in a range of software packages including production of graphs, statistical analysis and data visualisation tools.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 and Sampling standards.
  • Understanding of COMAH, ATEX and other HSE regulations.


Ideally, Degree or HND/HNC level qualifications in a technical subject
