This very busy and highly successful technology development consultancy are looking for a talented Physicist to join their team of world class Scientists and Engineers. This is a challenging and intellectually rewarding role - all the technologies you develop will be new-to-market; the solutions you implement unique and invariably make their way into real-world products.

As a Consultant Physicist you will use your breadth and depth of knowledge to develop exciting new technologies and solving real world problems on behalf of client companies. In particular you will use the practical applications of physics principles to design and build new products and manufacturing processes. Predominately you will lead or contribute to projects within (but not limited to) the Life Science, Healthcare, Consumer Electronics Products , FMCG and Industrial Electronics/Instrumentation sectors.

To be considered for the role of Consultant (Physicist) you need to meet the following requirements:


  • An excellent degree in (2.1) or a above from a Russell Group University in Physics or Natural Sciences or similar.
  • Ideally a PhD ,covering the development of optical techniques of relevance to diagnostic or life science applications


In addition, any experience of the following will also be beneficial:

  • Experience in using optical design tools
  • Experience of C or MATLAB
  • Algorithm development for sensing applications
  • Product development in a commercial environment
  • Experience of other, non-optical, sensing technologies
